The Amherst Island Waterside Summer Series was
established in 1994 to raise funds for St. Alban’s
Church but is now an independent not-for-profit
organization. Its goal is to present quality music in
the wonderful setting of Amherst Island, a place of
tranquility and natural beauty just a half-hour drive
from downtown Kingston, west along the Loyalist Parkway.
The concerts, which begin at 7:15 p.m.,
take place at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, just south
of Stella.
Tickets cost $35 and include refreshments
served during the 20-minute intermission. The ferry
leaves from Millhaven dock on the half-hour and from
Amherst Island on the hour. These well-attended concerts
are a perfect outing for a summer evening, bringing
together beautiful music and a remarkable natural
setting.

Beverley has had a busy fall getting the 2012
concert contracts signed. They are signed and
you will see next year’s preview on the
attachment of this email.
Yes we are now sending the newsletter by email
to 68 Sponsors. Only 2 have to be mailed! Let me
know if this gives you any problems.
As you might imagine, last year’s concerts were
a great success with good ticket sales and, more
importantly, with many exciting moments. Once
again we heard back from performers that we are
a great audience! In fact, of the five concerts
in 2012, three result from previous performers
contacting Beverley first!
There is no denying that something magical is
created at St. Paul’s Church as a result of the
interaction between our audience and our
performers!
Next season we five concerts with thirteen
performers. The Gryphon Trio will be returning
for their 4th visit to Amherst Island.
This will also be double bass performer Andrew
Downing first visit. All this is sandwiched
between Isabel Bayrakdarian and her husband
Serouj on July 7th and Janina Fialkowska on
August 13th!
Your brochures and supper information will be
mailed out in January.
Sponsoring Owls will once again be able to book
tickets ahead of the May public sale. Sponsor
donations for 2011 tax receipts should be made
before December 15th and 2012 donations before
May 1st 2012.
Please send you Sponsor cheques to us at 4 Front
